Course information

The Vocational Specialist course is part of our Vocational Pathway. This course is for learners who wish to pursue into a specialism of agriculture, equine or animal care, achieving a Level 1 within their specialist area whilst receiving additional support from the Progression Pathways team.

Learners will have the opportunity gain vocationally relevant skills, knowledge and expectations in their chosen specialism pathway:

Entry requirements for external applicants and school leavers

• No formal qualifications required.

Entry requirements for existing learners with the Cornwall College Group

• Successful completion of previous course.

1 week external work experience required (equivalent of 30 hours).

You will study a nationally accredited qualification at level 1. The course will also allow you to continue the development of English and maths (either GCSE or Functional Skills).

The historic Georgian mansion, commercial farm, animal husbandry school, modern veterinary nursing building, world-class engineering and heavy plant machinery workshop, walled garden and arboretum are all set in over 200 hectares of historic parkland.
